Dr. Pingfan Liu studied for five years and graduated in 1987 from Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (T.C.M.) in Wuhan, China. After two years working in a hospital of TCM, he received his postgraduate degree at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China in 1992. He became a specialist on integration of Western Medicine and Chinese Medicine and worked in a Shanghai Chronic Hepatitis Research Center (SCHRC) associated with the Shanghai 8th Hospital. In 1994 he came to Washington University School of Medicine at St. Louis for medical research. In 2003 he began his practice in the USA.

Dr. Liu is a licensed acupuncturist in the State of Missouri (L. Ac.) and certified by National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He had training and experience for 12 years in China and two year clinic practice in the USA. He has extensive knowledge in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
